The Octagon Rail Jam

June & July

June & July

Well the last 8 weeks have been flat out for me. I am no longer on ACC and have Started a new job. It has gone from no snow, to snow at sea level!

In June I spent lots of time in the gym getting my knee right and I also watched the NBA play off finals.

I was able to get out and do a night skate shot, but at this time of year it is hard work.

I had a quit stop in Gisborne, it was a part of NZ I had never seen before, and I enjoyed my time there catching up with a mate.

Once back in the south the snow come quick at long last after a very slow start to the season. The fields finally opened mid July and I made a trip to Queenstown to get some days boarding in.

Since then ive made several trips back to Wanaka to have some of the most fun days boarding ive ever had. Conditions on the mountain roads have been rough with dodgy drivers and to much snow coursing a few crashes at times.

I got stuck coming back one Sunday night in Alexandra when there was a huge dump over most of the South Island and had some interesting times in a local backpackers there.

Between weekends boarding and taking photos ive been working in my new job and loving the challenges that is involved with it

left overs 2010

I thought it was time to put a few photos up form last winter at the Burton Open

March & April

Well it has been some time since my last post, so I thought I would do an update.

I have not been taking a whole lot of photos over the last few months. I did take a few photos for Rally of Otago, it ran from the 8th to the 10th of April, I attend two stages.

The first was the Whare Flat stage on the Friday night, this turned out to be a lot of fun taking photos of the cars at night. If I had my SB800 it would have been a lot more fun.

The second stage I attend was the Tarmac Super stage in Dunedin’s industrial wharf area.

I got some good news on my SB800 it was able to be fixed and Nikon NZ did a good job so now its back in my hand’s waiting to light up a storm again.

February

February well should have been a good month for weather but summer has only showing it’s face a few times.

I have been busy taking more skate photos, this brought an end to my loved sb800 flash :( r.i.p

I also did a quick shot up at Cargills Castle this was some thing I have wanted to do for a while now. It was unreal walking around the old castle watching the sun going down (on one of the nice nights we had in February)

January 2011

Well it’s 2011 now whoop whoop.

This month I have been playing around taking some skate photos

I also had a quick stop over in Wellington. I have been very busy trying to get this site up looking and running the way I want it to. I have also been out taking some photos of night life around Dunedin with Rachel Ryan.
